- Street Furniture
This body of work grew out of my obsession with discarded furniture. While living in Oakland CA I became obsessed with collecting, and documenting the furniture left on the street curb. The focus of this ongoing project is to create functional works from these discarded materials. Responding to existing forms provides me a steady flow of new formal content, technical challenges, and conceptual fodder. Working on several pieces at a time I make moves in response to forms and materials that I curate into my studio. The end results exist the space between function and decoration.
